Sweet Dreams

This 10-minute candylicious animation by motion graphiste Kirsten Lepore tells the story of one forward-thinking cupcake who runs away to sea in a sugar-cube boat.  The sugar soon liquifies, leaving poor cupcake stranded and alone on a desert isle. No Robinson Crusoe, our cupcake does his best to piece together a ramshackle shelter using sugar-cube remnants and his sail, as the dark skies close in. But his luck is changing! A curvaceous guava introduces him to her friendly fruit people, who make clever use of carrots to build their huts. Carrots! Of course! They throw together a sturdy-looking vegetable vessel to take him home, where he’ll impart his new-found knowledge of sustainable, vegetable-based engineering.
