New Run Wrake Short

A big shout-out to Run Wrake! He completed a new short and what a nice one it is. Just like his Rabbit, that extraordinary little gem about two kids that slice up a rabbit and won’t live long to tell it, The Control Master is an animation that consists entirely of vintage images. The children’s book illustrations from Rabbit were originally designed by Geoffry Higham. His beautiful drawings made for that bittersweet contrast with the grimness of the story. For his new film Wrake used images from the CSA archive, an collection of fine, commercial art style images from the Charles S. Anderson Design Company. Again the result is wonderful.
