Johnny Kelly’s The Seed

Who knew paper craft could be so chichi? Following up from his award-winning Procrastination piece, Johnny Kelly’s first major project since joining Nexus follows the life-cycle of an apple seed. In an interview with Creative Review, Kelly sheds light on the painstaking animation process, saying, “everything was hand folded and glued. Myself and Elin Svensson, who helped assemble all the models, both had mangled fingers by the end of the project, covered in superglue and scalpel wounds: not a pretty sight.”
