Flooded McDonald’s

Veteran Danish artist collective Superflex (Anno 1993) have a knack of making socio-political commentary without being all waggy-fingered and worthy. Flooded McDonald’s is a 20-minute film in which a life-size interior replica of everyone’s favorite ethically catastrophic diner, slowly gets flooded with water (recycled, naturellement). As the water continues to rise, the familiar-looking golden-arch-heavy fast food paraphernalia starts to bob around, electricity starts to frazzle and mayhem ensues.

Draw your own conclusions regarding the hidden meaning in all of this (2 clues: water, multi-national conglomerate).
