New Profile: Scott Snibbe, interactive media artist

He says his works are useless. But as useless as other works of art. And we all know that art is the only thing that really counts in this world. Besides hope, faith and love of course.

Anyway, Scott Snibbe is a media artist, filmmaker, and researcher in interactivity. His works are strongly influenced by cinema: particularly animation, silent, and surrealist film; and often mix live and filmed performances with real-time interaction.

We talked to Scott at Picnic, a festival about the future, located in Amsterdam. He recently came out with Biophilia, an Ipad app album developed in cooperation with Bjork.
