The Making Of "The Art of Pho" motion comic
Profile: Julian Hanshaw & Lois van Baarle
The Art of Pho is an interactive motion comic produced by Submarine Channel, based on an original graphic novel by British comic artist and illustrator Julian Hanshaw.
This Making Of was shot on a day that Julian Hanshaw met with animation director Lois van Baarle at the Submarine Channel studios in Amsterdam to go over the progress of the motion comic. We took Julian to Lambiek - the oldest and best comic book store in town – to talk about his inspirations. And Lois explains what steps she took to adapt a linear graphic novel into an interactive motion comic.
Also appearing: Animators Danne Bakker, Nele van Haegenberg, Ferda Surensoy and Alice Eigenraam, Pastelle Music and voice actor Sebastian Prose, who voiced the main character, Little Blue.
