We're proud to present our second coffee table book+DVD about the unparalleled work of one of the most original artists-slash-animators currently active on the Web and beyond: Han Hoogerbrugge. The 200-page book and 62-minute DVD covers all aspects of Hoogerbrugge's work and career: from the early beginnings of the Neurotica series for the Web, up to Hotel, Nails and the commissioned works (illustrations, music videos, idents). There are chapters on interaction and sound design, Web publishing and in the chapter “How does he do it?” Hoogerbrugge finally reveals his animation technique - comic strip style!

Besides the introductions to each chapter written by us, Hoogerbrugge's invaluable side notes, and the sometimes hilarious visitor comments (“I haven't figures out if you're a genius or just weird”), we've asked four other geniuses -writer Marcel Möring, digital film pioneer Matt Hanson, art critic Vivianne Loría and animation expert Helen Walters- to give their expert interpretation of Hoogerbrugge's intricate, personal universe.

The book includes a comprehensive, region-free, hybrid DVD (Mac/PC/DVD player compatible) with over an hour of Hoogerbrugge's short films, web animations, music videos, commissioned works and even some video works from his installations. As an added bonus, the DVD contains a complete archive of Hoogerbrugge's most popular Flash animation series.
